Hi friends! It has been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted here on the blog because life has been overwhelmingly busy and I just haven’t had the time or the brain power! A lot has been going on so I thought I would do a quick round of catch up and hopefully get back to regular posting in the next few weeks here (though no promises because the schedule isn’t clearing anytime soon!).
One of the most major updates, and something that has been taking up some of my time, is my new podcast Happy to Meet Cute! I’m so excited to be hosting this romance themed podcast with one of my favorite writing people, Courtney Kae. Courtney is probably the nicest person I’ve ever met and if you haven’t read In the Event of Love yet, you need to get on that ASAP! We will be chatting with some of our favorite authors about their books and writing (of course), but also about some of their favorite non-writing topics (think Real Housewives or K-Dramas or the new TS album). It’s going to be so much fun and I will definitely keep you posted on release dates and all that jazz. In the meantime, please make sure you’re following @happytomeetcute on IG to keep up with the latest!
I’ve also been hard at work on books three and four, and really gearing up for the release of JUST MY TYPE! I ordered some amazing swag for JMT that I cannot wait to share with you (seriously, it’s so freaking cute!) and next week is my meeting with my publicity and marketing team and I can’t wait to see what they have in store. We’re also in the process of casting the audiobook narrator which is always so exciting. It’s getting very real! In the meantime, I’m working on edits for book three and drafting book four (and already thinking about books five and six!). Basically my brain is on overload and it’s both amazing and exhausting!
Wedding season is also in full gear over here in SoCal which means I am working like crazy with events every weekend and while I am so thankful for this job and being able to actually have weddings and work again, I am very much looking forward to a much-needed vacation in December!
And final announcement for today, if you haven’t already heard, there’s going to be an absolutely amazing event happening in my very own Anaheim next August, the Rom Con! A romance convention featuring basically all of my favorite writers (I will be there too!) with some seriously fun events planned, I am so pumped for this event! Tickets go on sale in November, but there are a bunch of special ticket opportunities available to help raise some funds, one of which is a trip to Disneyland with me, Denise Williams, and Jen DeLuca (dream team!).
