2023 Most Anticipated Romance Reads: January to June

Howdy friends! I cannot believe we are staring 2023 in the face, but here we are, looking forward to another new year. I’m not going to say too much here because I have about a thousand books for you to add to your 2023 TBRs (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration!). Suffice to say, we’re in for another good year of books! Let’s dive in!

January 3rd

Token by Beverley Kendall: I haven’t heard much about this one, but I was drawn in by the cover!


January 10th

Exes and O’s by Amy Lea: I’ve already read this one and it’s delightful!


Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen: I’ve read this one too and it is also delightful!


January 17th

The Year of Cecily by Lisa Lin: I love books with lists and this one has a list of resolutions and is therefore perfect for the new year.


A Guide to Being Just Friends by Sophie Sullivan: Because we know how that works out!


January 24th

Do I Know You by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka: These two are on another level. I’m about halfway through this one and it is chef’s kiss.


The Duke Gets Even by Joanna Shupe: If you’ve read any of my past lists, you know Joanna is a goddess who can do no wrong in my book (or hers).


January 31st

Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn: Guys. This book is a damn masterpiece.


Sorry, Bro by Taleen Voskuni: Here’s hoping 2023 is the year of sapphic romances because I want them all and I’ll start with this one!


Behind the Scenes by Karelia Stetz-Waters: I absolutely loved Karelia’s last book so I can’t wait to see what’s in store with this one!


February 7th (aka best release date ever!)

Not Your Ex’s Hexes by April Asher: I was super late in reading April’s last book which is good for me because I don’t have to wait too long for this one!


Radiant Sin by Katee Robert: Did I have a mild panic attack when I learned I shared a release date with thee Katee Robert? Yes, yes I did.


For Twice in My Life by Annette Christie: I got to read this one super early and it is adorable!


JUST MY TYPE BY ME: I WROTE THIS BOOK AND THEREFORE YOU SHOULD BUY IT!


February 21st

For Her Consideration by Amy Spalding: You all know I am trash for celebrity romance.


Best Served Hot by Amanda Elliott: Always here for a foodie romance!


February 28th

Too Wrong to Be Right by Melonie Johnson: I read an early copy of this one and it’s so cute and fun!


The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest: Always here for books about bookish people!


March 7th

A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley: I cannot wait to get my hands on this fantasy rom-com!


Real Love by Rachel Lindsay: I loved Rachel on the Bachelorette and something tells me I’m going to enjoy the writing in this one!


March 14th

The Love Wager by Lynn Painter: I read my first Lynn book in 2022 and cannot wait for more!


Love and Other Flight Delays by Denise Williams: If Denise writes it, I’m reading it!


March 21st

The Only Game in Town by Lacie Waldon: I think this book is going to be a little different from Lacie’s first two and I’m excited to see where she takes it.


Ellie is Cool Now by Victoria Fulton and Faith McClaren: I’ve had the pleasure of meeting these two in person and they were absolutely lovely!


March 28th

Hotel of Secrets by Diana Biller: I loved Diana’s last two books and I’m sure I’ll love this one too.


April 4th

The Plus One by Mazey Eddings: Always here to support my fellow ’22 debuts!


The Do Over by Suzanne Park: First, I am obsessed with this cover. Second, I am obsessed with Suzanne.


Ana Maria and the Fox by Liana De La Rosa: Was I just saying something about cover obsession?


April 11th

To Swoon and to Spar by Martha Waters: I am so in love with this series!


April 18th

The Fiancee Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur: Her first series is one of my all-time faves so I’m excited to see where she goes next!


The Secret Service of Tea and Treason by India Holton: Another one of my favorite series!


April 25th

Happy Place by Emily Henry: You might have heard about this one already?


Just As You Are by Camille Kellogg: Despite not liking Pride and Prejudice, I can’t seem to get enough retellings.


May 2nd

Jana Goes Wild by Farah Heron: Farah is always a safe bet!


May 16th

The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren: You might have heard of them?


Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune: I read Carley’s first book in one sitting, I’m sure this one will be just as good!


May 23rd

Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler: I read a really early copy of this one and the voice is absolutely spectacular.


Emma of 83rd Street by Audrey Bellezza and Emily Harding: Always here for an Emma retelling (thanks Clueless!)


May 30th

Once More with Feeling by Elissa Sussman: I am obsessed with Funny You Should Ask so of course I’m counting down the days to this one!


June 6th

Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan: I was lucky enough to read this one early and it is SO GOOD.


June 13th

Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood: Ali’s books are compulsively readable.


June 20th

Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon: Rachel hits every. single. time.

June 27th

Will They or Won’t They by Ava Wilder: I’m obsessed with Ava’s first book and cannot wait for her second!
