My Favorite Romances of 2022: Part Two

This post contains affiliate links. Also, please note, some of these authors are my friends, and some of them are published by my publisher. I paid for and read these books all on my own and all my opinions are my own.

Hello again friends! So excited to be bringing you even more of my favorite romances from 2022. Like last post, I count anything I read in 2022 as eligible for this list, but it looks like the majority of the books (if not all) were published this year. What can I say, 2022 was a good year for romance! Without further ado, here’s the second half of my favorite reads list!

Kamila Knows Best by Farah Heron: I’ve always had a love for Emma (thanks Clueless!) and this is probably one of my favorite retellings. It was a delight from beginning to end.

From the Jump by Lacie Waldon: I just love Lacie’s writing, in particular how each of her books feels like a mini vacation. She truly transports you and I definitely felt that with this book. Also, you know I’m a sucker for friends to lovers.

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky: I just adored this book. It is so sweet and so heartfelt and if you are looking for that magical NA romance, this one fits the bill.

For the Love of the Bard by Jessica Martin: It should come as no surprise that this Shakespeare lover was in love with this Shakespeare inspired romance. My only complaint is that the town where the story takes place isn’t real!

The Bride Goes Rogue by Joanna Shupe: Joanna knocks it out of the park every. single. time. Teach me your ways Joanna!

Luck and Last Resorts by Sarah Grunder Ruiz: I was all in on this book from the very first page. That twist! The angst! The pining! Top notch.

Bend Toward the Sun by Jen Devon: I didn’t read anything else like this book this year, it was such a standout. One of the most heart-wrenching romances I read all year.

American Royalty by Tracey Livesay: I don’t normally go for royal romance, but I really loved this spin on it–it felt so modern and fresh. If you’re enjoying the Harry and Meghan documentary, you’ll probably love this book.

Lucy on the Wild Side by Kerry Rea: Talk about a book full of heart! I cried real tears y’all. Kerry’s voice is a standout and this one really tugged on the heart strings.

Just Like Magic by Sarah Hogle: Pretty sure you all know by now that I want to be Sarah when I grow up. This book is completely bonkers in the best way and I loved every second of it.

The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen: Uuuuggghhhh this book is so good. Another one that felt totally new and different and fresh. I loved the fantasy spin, but the relationship between the characters was the real standout.

Better Than Fiction by Alexa Martin: I love Alexa and I loved this book. Another one set in the book world, for all you bookish fiends!

What an incredible year of books! Seriously, I could write a list of a hundred amazing books and still not include all of the standouts from the year. If you’re interested in perusing ALL of my favorite reads from this year, you can find the complete list here. Cheers to another year of fantastic reads!
