Book Review: Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert

Author: Katee Robert

Sub-genre: Erotica

If you know me at all from my other blogging life, you know I am a huge Disney fan. So when Katee Robert announced she was doing an erotica series based on Disney villains you know I was all. over. it. The first book was Desperate Measures, which was about Jasmine and Jafar, and yeah, it taught me I might be into some things I didn’t know I was into. I freaking loved it. So I was super stoked to finally get my hands on the second book in the series, Learn my Lesson.

Learn my Lesson is about Meg, Hades, and Hercules. We met both Hades and Meg in the first book, as Hades owns a sex club (obviously) and Meg is his right hand woman. This book explores their relationship a little bit more, and also introduces Hercules. Hades basically introduces Hercules to Meg to help provide her with things she may be lacking in their own relationship. In the beginning, he thinks of it as a temporary fix, but it turns out Hercules is really what both he and Meg needed, and they discover the three of them are really much better together (aww).

Not going to lie, I didn’t love this one as much as I did Desperate Measures. I really liked it, but it didn’t hit me quite the way the first one did. I think for me, there is too much internal conflict. The majority of the book focuses majorly on each of the three dealing with their inner demons and NONE OF THEM KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE. Like a lot of these issues could have been handled with a conversation, and I don’t love that. There is one fair bit of action at the end, but it kind of acts like that moment of panic so they all realize how much they love each other.

So plot wasn’t my favorite. But. This book is hot AF. I would expect nothing less from Katee Robert, and I was not disappointed in that department. So yeah, if you’re into some menage action, you’re going to enjoy the many, many super hot sex scenes in this book.

The next book in this series, A Worthy Opponent (Hook and Tink’s story) is already out and on my to buy list. Even though I didn’t fall in love with this one, I still can’t get enough of the series and will for sure be continuing on. Because who doesn’t love a hot villain?

Overall Rating: 4 stars
