So this book has been on my radar for a while, so I was super stoked when I won an ARC in a Twitter contest Angie held a couple of weeks ago. Not only did I get a beautiful ARC, but Angie also included the adorable bracelet seen in the top photo. And honestly, this book was exactly what I needed right now. Not only have I been flying through all of my contemporary romance reads, but this one had the added bonus of being a vacation in a book. Something I think we can all agree is desperately needed these days.

Henley works in marketing for a small cruise line that specializes in unique destinations like the Galapagos Islands. When she and her nemesis Graeme are set to go head to head for a much needed promotion, their boss sends them on a cruise together so they can experience it for themselves, after which, they will both have to prepare presentations to impress the boss and earn the promotion. Since Graeme works remotely, he and Henley have never met in person before, but when they do, the sparks are instant. But Henley isn’t going to let herself be swayed by a pretty face–Graeme has already taken credit for her work in the past and she isn’t going to let him win the promotion over her. The two experience some truly amazing sights throughout their time on the cruise, and of course, the more they get to know each other, the more they fall. But no amount of *feelings* changes the fact that one of them will get the promotion and the other will not. Will they be able to find a way for both of them to come out on top? (Spoiler, they totally will.)

I loved so much about this book. First, the setting. I never would have thought I would be interested in going on a cruise to the Galapagos Islands (I am way more of an Alexis than a Ted), but after reading this, I think it would actually be super cool. There were so many interesting details and experiences Henley and Graeme experienced on their cruise that I was totally swept away. It felt like a much needed vacation and I loved every second of it. Henley and Graeme also have great chemistry. Their banter was witty and charming and I LOLed more than once. I also loved the cast of side characters, everyone from Henley’s flighty sister to her friends to the other eccentric cruise guests. Honestly, the whole thing was just a pure smile in book form, and it took my mind of the horrors of *the world*. And what more can you ask for these days?
