Fave Reads of the Month: August 2022

Well, given that my kid went back to school at the beginning of the month, it should come as no surprise that I managed to finish nineteen books in August. And honestly, most of them were really good, so this is going to be a long post! Let’s dive in!

For Twice in My Life by Annette Christie: I absolutely fell in love with this book and my only issue is that it doesn’t actually come out for a long time and I want to read it again!

Every Summer After by Carley Fortune: Everyone has been reading this book and now I know why–it’s delightful!

Luck and Last Resorts by Sarah Grunder Ruiz: Oh my heart. I love this book with all of it.

Tell Me Everything by Erika Krause: This was a really compelling but difficult book (in a good way).

The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston: Absolute perfection in book form.

Bend Toward the Sun by Jen Devon: An absolutely gorgeous gorgeous romance.

She’s Up to No Good by Sara Goodman Confino: Nothing but fun from beginning to end.

Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler: I freakin loved this book so much and again am mad it’s not out yet because I need a physical copy in my hands.

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams: I don’t think there are enough words to describe how beautiful this book is.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson: Two of my favorite things, true crime and romance!

The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi: Not a lot of books have made me cry lately, but this one really got me.

Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood: Nothing but fun from beginning to end!

Things We Do in the Dark by Jennifer Hillier: I knew I loved celebrity romances, but I guess I also love celebrity murder mysteries.

Love and Other Scams by Philip Ellis: The actual definition of a rollicking romp.

What You Wish For by Katherine Center: Man, Katherine just cuts deep every time.

Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan: The perfect second chance romance.

I hope I didn’t make you too jealous with all these amazing books that aren’t out yet, but now you have something to look forward to! Cheers to another month of stellar reading!
