It’s Release Day!

Well friends, the day has finally come! I don’t even honestly know what to say other than thank you thank you thank you! It’s still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that last year at this time I was gearing up for the special torture known as going on sub and now not even 365 days later, my book is real! It’s a thing! People can buy  it and read it! It’s really a very strange feeling knowing the culmination of a lifetime of dreams is coming to fruition like right this second. The emotions are real! How many times will I burst into tears today? (Hint: the limit does not exist!).

I wrote Lease on Love in the early months of the pandemic, and it was such an escape for me. Writing became the thing I looked forward to, the thing that got me through sitting through first grade distance learning, the thing that helped keep me from totally spiraling. I will always love this book and these characters for getting me through some of the worst times! And of course, writing a book is not a solitary endeavor. I’m so thankful for my friends and family who supported me along the way. I already wrote you all the mushy stuff in my acknowledgments, so for now I’ll just say thank you all!

And really, truly, the last couple of weeks I have been so blown away by the response to Lease on Love. Before I was a published author, I was a reader, and a reviewer, and I know the work it takes to write these blog posts and stage these photos and I see your hard work and your kind words and I am so so so thankful. Every person who reviewed and posted and promoted and shouted about my book, just know you totally made my day, my week, my month, my year!
