Buckle up folks because I read a crap ton of books in June and so we have quite a few one sentence reviews to get through! Books saved my sanity in June and I read a lot of good ones!

Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson: I fell in love with these characters, and this book is the pure definition of cozy. Full review here.

The Orchid Throne by Jeffe Kennedy: Despite the overall lack of kissing, I enjoyed this fantasy romance and will definitely pick up the next in the series. Full review here.

Beach Read by Emily Henry: Absolute total perfection. Full review here.

Crush the King by Jennifer Estep: I can’t say I loved it, but I was happy to make it to the end of the series and see how it all came together. Full review here.


You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle: This book was so good it made me want to quit writing. Full review here.

Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet: Moooorrrreee space romance please! Full review here.

The Virgin and the Rogue by Sophie Jordan: Despite one of the hottest starts to any book ever, I felt this one was overall a little meh.

Happy Ever After Playlist: I want an Abby book with her wit, minus all the trauma. Full review here.


Bridge Kingdom by Danielle Jensen: Loved it just as much the second time around! Full review here.

Kiss from a Demon King by Kresley Cole: I mean, it’s Kresley, so hawt.

The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel: For me, the trauma was the overriding takeaway which was not great. Full review with content warnings here.

For a Muse of Fire by Heidi Heiling: My theater nerd heart and soul loved every minute of this book.


Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas: I’m starting to think Lisa is just not for me as I was rather indifferent about this one.

You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria: Talk about a perfect (and much needed) escape! Full review here.

Heart of Blood and Ashes by Milla Vane: If you can handle the most extra fantasy romance out there, then this one might be for you. Full review here.

The Toll by Neal Shusterman: I’m glad I finished the series, but I wanted more time with Citra and Rowan.


White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo: If you are just starting on your anit-racism journey, this is a good place to start. Full review here.

Tools of Engagement by Tess Bailey: The perfect dose of enemies to lovers and dirty talk. Full review here.

So You Wanna Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo: Super helpful breakdown of a lot of common themes in discourse about racism. Full review here.


If you’re keeping track, that was nineteen books and fourteen full reviews y’all. Phew. Quite the month!
