One Sentence Reviews: March 2020

As the world turned totally banana pants, upside down last month, I actually managed to get in a fair amount of reading. And I read a lot of good books! And since you now have nothing but free time on your hands, you should read them too!

Headliners by Lucy Parker: I freakin’ love this series and Lucy’s writing so much, and this enemies to lovers was tons of fun. Full review here.

Waking Up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath: This plot is BANANAS but at the same time, the love story pulled on my heart strings like nothing else this month. Full review here.

Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey: I didn’t love this one because in the beginning in particular, the hero felt a little toxic. Full review here.

Lover Awakened by JR Ward: I’m a sucker for a damaged hero and it doesn’t get more damaged than Zsadist.

Damsel by Elana Arnold: This book was the perfect fairy tale surprise and I loved every second of it. Full review here.

Heroine Complex by Sarah Kuhn: Superhero romance, what more do I need to say? Full review here.

Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka: This was the perfect YA romance for my theater nerd heart. Full review here.

One Fine Duke by Lenora Bell: The climax of this book was so out there and completely unrealistic (and I give a lot of leeway for realism when it comes to romance) that it kind of ruined the book for me.

Dark Skye by Kresley Cole: I really loved the development of this hero, and while it wasn’t my top Immortals After Dark, I really enjoyed it.

When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger: Lauren is an auto-buy for me and I enjoyed catching up with Emily from Devil Wears Prada.

Rebel by Beverly Jenkins: This was a quick read, and while I enjoyed it, I thought it felt a little too simple.

Anna K by Jenny Lee: If this one had an HEA it would have been a five star, but even without it, it was a fun and entertaining read. Full review here.

Nightchaser by Amanda Bouchet: Give me all the sci-fi romance please! Full review here.

All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace: One of the best YA fantasy novels I have read in a LONG time. Full review here.

Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams: I didn’t like this one as much as the first, but in spite of a very unlikeable heroine (in the truest sense of the term, not just a heroine who doesn’t take shit from people), I thought it was good. Full review here.

DNF: I put down two books this month, The Protector by HelenKay Dimon and If I Loved You Less by Tamsen Parker. Neither had any real issues, I just couldn’t get into them.

Overall, a fabulous month of reading! What was your favorite read in March?
