Guuuuuyyysss! I was so excited to see this month’s Owl Crate book choice and I am pretty in love with most of the items included in the box. December’s theme was Tales of Trickery, which is right up my alley, and there were lots of fun treats included.
I think this is the second time there’s been a book sleeve in a box, but what makes this one, designed by Chatty Nora, so awesome (aside from the quote from Sorcery of Thorns) is that it’s oversized. It can easily fit a full-sized hardcover book and I will definitely be putting it to good use in the future. The Mount Ruin candle inspired by Grace and Fury and crafted by Novelly Yours smells soooo good. And you can never have too many candles.
Probably my favorite item from this month is this set of colored pencils, created by the team at Owl Crate. Each one has a book-themed hashtag and they are perfect for those of us living the bookstagram life. They came paired with a super cute coloring book featuring the pin designs from all of this year’s Owl Crate boxes.
Living in Southern California, I can’t promise I will use the hand warmer from Kit Cronk Studio and inspired by Sky in the Deep or wear the earmuffs inspired by Caraval, but they are both adorbs and I will probably wear the earmuffs even if I don’t actually need them.
And I was sooooo stoked when I got to the bottom of my box and found The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White was the book choice for this month. I absolutely love Kiersten’s books and I had this one on my list of books to buy if I received a gift card, but now I don’t have to wait! I am seriously excited for this series and I can’t wait to dive into this bad boy.
