Fave Reads of the Month: April 2021

April was a pretty stellar month for books, which I expected going in, but I didn’t think it would be so amazingly good. And it was the kind of month that makes me have serious imposter syndrome, which is both a good and bad thing. So many fantastic books to gush about so let’s dive in!

Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert: I’m not saying this book has the best Black Panther reference of all time, but it definitely has the best Black Panther reference of all time. Also, it’s hilarious and sweet and I loved every second of it. Click here for the full review!

The Heiress Hunt by Joanna Shupe: In general I don’t love historical, but Joanna is definitely one of my favorite historical writers. I love the Gilded Age and she always has fantastic characters and steamy sex scenes.

The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner: This isn’t something I would normally gravitate toward, which is why I love Book of the Month. I found this book to be super interesting and compelling, and very readable.

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle: I will never be able to gush enough about the perfection that is Sarah’s writing. I love her and this book. Click here for the full review!

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry: Again, I will never run out of love for Emily Henry. This book was amazing and it felt like a vacation. Click here for the full review!

Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron: I’m a sucker for a fake dating plot, and this book had that plus bread. Click here for the full review!

The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard: I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one, but I am such a total and complete goner for a broken hero, and I loved this one.

Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher: While this one was a lot heavier than I anticipated, it was beautifully written and such a gorgeous story.

So many good books, so little time! What was your favorite read in April?
