After a “light” month of reading (fifteen books in total), I’m happy to report that two-thirds of them made my list of monthly favorites! And I did math! I really read some truly fantastic books this month, and you should read them too.

Hang the Moon by Alexandria Bellefleur: I love a soft boi and Brendon is maybe the absolute softest. I totally fell head over heels for this second chance romance. You can read my full review here.

The Summer Job by Lizzy Dent: I read this one on our trip to Solvang, and it was the perfect companion for a jaunt to California wine country.

The Donut Trap by Julie Tieu: Full disclosure, Julie is a friend, but that doesn’t mean her book isn’t amazing because it is. I fell in love with this messy main character and you will too. You can read my full review here.

Imposter Syndrome by Kathy Wang: I’m trying to force myself to branch out in my reading tastes a little and this is definitely not a book I would have picked up on my own, but it was really interesting and a fun read.

The Shaadi Set-Up by Lillie Vale: I’ve mentioned it several times already, but just in case you missed the disclosure, Lillie and I have the same editor, so of course I was drawn to her book. Her voice is stellar and so witty and this was another second chance romance that totally captured my heart. You can read my full review here.

Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake by Alexis Hall: Look, Alexis is a master and this book is the Great British Baking Show in romance form which is basically all I ever asked for in this world.

A Certain Appeal by Vanessa King: As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m not a huge Austen fan so I didn’t know what to expect with this Pride and Prejudice retelling but it totally blew me away. I loved every second of this book. You can read my full review here.

The Secret Bridesmaid by Katy Birchall: While I would have liked the romance to be a little more central here, this was a really fun read that kept me entertained and laughing from the moment I picked it up (which is sometimes tough for me with wedding books!).

Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller: Alright, don’t hate me, but I didn’t love Circe and so I put this one off for a really long time, which was stupid of me because this book is perfect.

The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton: I freaking loved this book from the very first page. Lady pirates! Magic! Kissing! What more could you want?

Cheers to another month of fantastic reading! What was your favorite read of June?
