TBR: August 2022

To be totally upfront, July was the closest I have come in a really long time to not finishing my TBR. So what did I do for August? Overloaded it! The good news is my kid is going back to school so that means a little more quiet time for me. However, I’m also going on vacation at the end of the month which actually typically means less reading for me. But we’ll see how it goes! Here’s what I plan to read in August:

For Twice in My Life by Annette Christie: Be jealous y’all because I get to read this one really early! (And spoiler, I’ve actually already finished it and it was amazing!)

Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler: I am spoiled this month because I get to read this one super early too!

Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood: Have you heard of her? Lol.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson: I feel like I have been looking forward to this book for for-eh-ver!

Luck and Last Resorts by Sarah Grunder Ruiz: I started this one last night and no surprises, it’s amazing already. Nina has my heart!

Bend Toward the Sun by Jen Devon: This is another one I’ve been looking forward to for a really long time!

Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey: Did I realize this book is 900 pages when I put it on the list for this month? No, no I did not.

Every Summer After by Carley Fortune: Feels like I need to read this one in the final month of summer (though it will continue to feel like summer for another three months here).

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams: I waited very (im)patiently for this book to come out in paperback and I am super stoked to finally get to read it.

A Proposal They Can’t Refuse by Natalie Cana: Did someone say fake dating?

Barbarian Lover by Ruby Dixon: Just inject it directly into my veins please.

The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston: Everyone is raving about this book!

The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi: One of those books I’ve heard nothing but good things about.

She’s Up to No Good by Sara Goodman Confino: Lacie Waldon told me she loved it so I probably will too!

Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese: I scored an ARC of this one and I am very excited to see what it’s all about.

Tell Me Everything by Erika Krause: Because why not round out the summer with some true crime?

What are you reading this month?
