TBR: August 2021

Well, friends, depending on the state of the world in the next couple of weeks, I expect my reading time to either drastically increase (if my kid is actually able to go back to school full time) or decrease (if we are kicked back to distance learning oh god please don’t let that happen). Either way, I’ve got a long TBR this month, so we’ll see how it goes! Here’s what I’m planning on reading in August:

No Words by Meg Cabot: Full disclosh, I’ve already started this one and I am loving it so far. I love books about writers!

The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun: I don’t know much about this one other than a lot of people I trust are recommending it.

Wait for It by Jenn McKinlay: This is one of those books where the cover sold me.

The Road to Rose Bend by Naima Simone: This cover looks sweet, but knowing Naima, this book should be spicy.

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern: This one has been on my list for awhile, we’ll see how it holds up!

Anne of Manhattan by Brina Starler: Shockingly enough, I was not an Anne of Green Gables fan as a kid, but this one still caught my eye.

Hot Under His Collar by Andie J. Christopher: Andie is an auto buy for me and this one has Fleabag vibes and I’m here for it.

Very Sincerely Yours by Kerry Winfrey: Kerry’s books are always sweet  and satisfying.

Love Scenes by Bridget Morrisey: I’m a sucker for a Hollywood romance so this was a no brainer.

Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson: I super scored an ARC of this from a Little Free Library and I’m so excited.

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron: The title of this one is what got me.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid: This is how you know I’m spending too much time on TikTok.

Sex/Life by BB Easton: I heard mixed reviews about the show so I’m going to read the book first.

Sisters of the Snake by Sarena and Sasha Nanua: This was in last month’s Owl Crate and the cover is gorge.

The Other Black Girl by Zakiya Dalila Harris: This book got raves so I’m excited for it.

Hopefully I’m in for another great month of reading!
