Hi friends and welcome to the first TBR of 2022! This post is late because I have been super sick. Not COVID, thankfully, but I was in bed for about a week and am just starting to feel better. Apparently not being sick for two years means your immune system takes a little break and then when you do get sick for the first time in forever, it takes a while to kick back into gear. Fun times. As you know, 2022 is going to be an amazing year for books (have you preordered LEASE ON LOVE yet?!?!?!) so I’m sure my book cart will continue to runneth over. But I’m going to do my very best to read the books I have before I buy new ones (lol). Which means, I gotta kick it into high gear! I’m starting off the year with some amazing books I can’t wait to read, and maybe you would like to read them too! Here’s what’s on my TBR for January:
Love at First Spite by Anna E. Collins: Anna is a fellow 2022 debut and anything with spite in the title is gonna pique my interest. You know I’m always here for petty!
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake: I have heard nothing but amazing things about this book!
Hook, Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey: I really enjoyed It Happened One Summer so I’m hoping this follow up is just as good!
Not All Diamonds and Rose by Dave Quinn: I’m trying to read more non-fiction in 2022, and so of course I’m starting with some Housewives hot goss.
Somebody’s Daughter by Ashley C. Ford: Another book that I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about!
We Are Not Like Them by Christine Pride and Jo Piazza: I heard this duo on a podcast and the book sounded interesting, and then it showed up as a choice in my book box so obviously I went for it!
Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon: Nicola is one of my favorite YA authors so I’m excited for this one.
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko: I haven’t been reading a ton of YA fantasy but they always end up being my faves so I’m excited to dive back in.
Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid: I honestly can’t believe I haven’t read this one yet.
House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune: See above!
A Season for Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss: The cover sold me on this one, it looks so cozy!
No Judgments by Meg Cabot: You can’t go wrong with queen Meg!
Donut Fall in Love by Jackie Lau: You know I’m here for the donuts, always!
The Girl from Hollywood by Edgar Rice Burroughs: I have no idea what to expect from this one, but it was in a book box so I’m gonna give it a shot!
Sex and Lies by Leila Slimani: This one looks both interesting and informative!
Here’s to another month of great reading! What’s on your TBR?
