TBR: September 2021

Guys. I cannot seem to stop buying books. I know this is really nothing new, but there was a period of time there during the panini when I was actually putting a major dent in my collection of unread books. That time has come and gone and now not only do I have tons of physical books I need to read, I also have so many ARCs on my Kindle I cannot possibly get through them all. That, of course, does not stop me from buying more books. Send help. Here’s which lovely tomes I’m going to attempt to clear from my TBR cart this month!

The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling: This feels like the perfect book to get me in the mood for fall. I’m very much here for all the witchy romances coming out this year.

Two Houses by Suleena Bibra: Suleena is a fellow Pitch Wars alum, and I cheated and started this one a little early and I already love it.

The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox: I love me a holiday romance and while I’m in denial that the holidays are upon us, I’m excited for this one.

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang: Helen can do no wrong in my book (or her books).

So We Meet Again by Suzanne Park: I think you all know by now that Suzanne was my mentor so of course I’m stoked for this book.

Battle Royal by Lucy Parker: I love Lucy Parker with my whole heart and now I get a Lucy Parker baking romance? Yes please!

The Tiger Mom’s Tale by Lyn Liao Butler: This one seems multi-faceted and I’m excited to see how it all comes together.

The Traitor Queen by Danielle Jensen: I read a lot of fantasy romance in the early days of the panini but I’ve tapered off since then. But I loved the first book in this series and I need to see what comes next.

The Dating Playbook by Farrah Rochon: So many good romances came out in August my TBR is overflowing and this is one of my most anticipated.

Blood and Honey by Shelby Mahurin: I really enjoyed the first in this series and I hope this one holds up!

Arsenic and Adobo by Mia P. Manansala: This is one of those the cover sold me books.

The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison: Most of my reading is recent releases but I’m trying to go back and read some of the important books I missed out on in my almost entirely white extended literary education.

This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron: Not going to lie, I didn’t love Cinderella is Dead. It was fine, but I probably wouldn’t have picked up this book on my own. But it came in a book box so I’ll read it.

Blackout by Everyone: This is a collection of stories from some of my favorite YA authors, including Angie Thomas and Nicola Yoon (who I LOVE). Can’t wait for this one!

The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina by Zoraida Cordova: I’ve loved everything I’ve read from Zoraida so I’m sure this one will be good!

So many books, so little time! What’s on your TBR for the month?
